Terms & Conditions/ Cancellation Policy


  • Please check the latest updates on State Government restrictions to know if you can travel.
  • By placing a booking/s with Murray River Holiday Park, you agree to all the terms and conditions and cancellation policy, firm upon booking.
  • The tariff is based on the number of guests for the specified time and duration. Any changes thereto will alter the tariff. 
  • Prices quoted are current at the time of booking, inclusive of GST, and firm upon full payment for the specified time and duration.
  • Full payment of the stay is required upon check-in prior to park management handing over boomgate access codes/ cabin keys.
  • Tariff/s will not be reduced upon check-in if the number of booked guests is less on arrival. Additional guests are welcome providing the total number of guests does not exceed the berth of the cabin/ site booked. All additional guests will be charged accordingly. 
  • A booking may have a name change (subject to park management approval). An admin fee of $20.00 will be charged to the account for this change.
  • Any extra guests staying on your accommodation booking over a peak period must pay for the full minimum night stay for that peak period.
  • Bookings are not eligible for a change of date or payment made can not be placed in your client account for future use. 
  • Cabin keys will not be handed out to any other guest other than the booked guest on arrival unless a prior arrangement with park management has occurred.
  • Cabin/ Site check-in time is firm unless an SMS has been sent prior to this time allowing early check-in. 
  • Guests must be 18+ years of age to make a reservation. Persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for all accommodation for the duration of stay.
  • Cabins are not serviced daily. A change of linen will occur for extended stays of 10 or more nights only. A change of linen prior to this will incur a small fee (subject to COVID-19 regulations at the time of stay).
  • Only one promotional/ membership discount/ voucher can be redeemed on any one booking. Must be redeemed at the time of online or direct booking. 
  • Any online promotions have their own terms and conditions that are relevant to that promotion. These terms and conditions can be found on our website. 
  • While we can accept requested cabins/site numbers, please note that sometimes this is out of our control and you may be moved to another cabin/site without notice (we endeavour to do our best to inform you beforehand).
  • Whilst Murray River Holiday Park is a pet-friendly park, not all cabin accommodation is pet-friendly. Policies for pets can be found on our website, guests must adhere to them at all times. 
  • Murray River Holiday Park accepts no responsibility for any extra costs needed to place pets into pet care if you have booked a non-pet-friendly cabin.
  • Given the small size of our holiday park, we allocate powered sites according to the size of your caravan. We take your word at the time of your booking the overall size including drawbar and any toolboxes/ bikes/ slide outs on the rear/side of your caravan. If you arrive and the overall length of your caravan is larger than first stated, and we do not have the flexibility to accommodate your booking, this will leave you with no booking here. In this case, no refunds will be given. 
  • Please note, erections of tent/ swags or tarps are not permitted on any of our grassed/slab powered sites or around cabin accommodation, you will be asked to remove such items from your powered site/ cabin at any time by park management. Tents/ swags are permitted only on our Astroturf sites. 
  • To comply with Australian Standards, no blow-up/ plastic pools to be erected on any of our grassed/ slab powered sites or around cabin accommodation.
  • Holiday Parks approved matting (shade cloth environmental mats) is only permitted on our grassed powered sites.
  • Water restrictions are now in force. Washing of vehicles requires approval from park management prior to washing your vehicle. 
  • Due to the small size of our holiday park, only one car is permitted at each cabin or site, extra cars to park in the carpark out the front of the boomgates.
  • We have limited boat/ trailer parking within the Holiday Park grounds, we operate on a first in first served basis to secure one of these. Please get in contact with our reception team if you are planning on bringing a boat or trailer. 
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry into Murray River Holiday Park. In this case, a partial refund will be issued under these circumstances by park management.
  • Murray River Holiday Park has a zero-tolerance to offensive behaviour in person, over the phone, or via email, excessive use of alcohol, unregistered guests staying overnight, acts of violence, or smoking in cabin accommodation.
  • Murray River Holiday Park will not be liable for unforeseeable circumstances, including but not limited to floods, fire, pandemics, and catastrophes. If such events occur, we will action booking relief accordingly.


We strongly urge you to take out Cancellation Insurance. Available up to 48 hours after placing your booking or 12 hours before your arrival date for individual bookings. Offer sent via a third party to your email.
In the event of your booking being cancelled prior to your arrival the following conditions still apply:

  • Cancellations must be emailed through to bookings@murrayriverholidaypark.com.au from primary guest booking email.
  • If you fail to arrive on your nominated date, your booking will be cancelled and NO refund given if no contact has been made with us prior.
  • Please be aware, we do not refund any monies or hold any credits for late arrivals, early departures (including directions mandated by Governments), or inclement weather.
  • COVID-19 is here to stay, please read and understand all our Terms & Conditions/ Cancellation Policies prior to placing a booking.
  • COVID-19 will not qualify as an extenuating circumstance for any booking/s, this includes any border closures or State Government directions. 
  • Murray River Holiday Park will not tolerate offensive emails or phone calls regarding cancellations due to the ever-changing State rules and regulations regarding COVID-19. 

Shoulder & off-peak:

  • At the time of placing the booking up to 7 days prior to the arrival date- Guests can cancel free of charge, as no deposit has been processed/charged. 
  • Within 7 days of the arrival date: The guest's card on file will be charged with the first night's tariff to secure the booking. If the guest cancels thereon after, no refunds, no credits or no change of date applies.
  • Summer school holidays and Easter school holidays, the guest's card on file will be charged with the first night's tariff to secure the booking 4 weeks prior to arrival. If the guest cancels thereon after, no refunds, no credits or no change of date applies. 


  • At the time of placing the booking up to 30 days prior to the arrival date: Guests' deposit for the first night's tariff will not be refunded. 
  • Within 30 days of the arrival date: If the guest cancels thereon after, no refunds, no credits, or no change of date applies. 

Shoulder & Off-Peak:

  • At the time of placing the booking up to 7 days prior to the arrival date: No deposit is taken. Card details are required at the time of placing a booking for future charging. 
  • 7 days prior to your arrival date: Guests' credit card will be charged with the first night's tariff to secure the booking. Invalid credit cards will see the booking cancelled at 6 pm that night if a valid credit card is not supplied. 
  • Summer school holidays and Easter school holidays, the guest's card on file will be charged with the first night's tariff to secure the booking 4 weeks prior to arrival. If the guest cancels thereon after, no refunds, no credits or no change of date applies. 


  • A 2-night deposit is required and processed at the time of placing the booking.

Group Bookings Deposit Rule:

  • For large group bookings (groups may be bowls clubs, golf clubs, caravan clubs etc, where booking details and accounts are paid by one person or organisation), we will require 1 nights tariff on all categories booked, 4 weeks prior to arrival date. This 1-night deposit on all categories becomes non-refundable, non-transferable and we can not offer a date change. 

We understand COVID-19 can play havoc with bookings, however, our cancellation policy remains in place regardless of any COVID-19 restrictions including border closures in place at the time of your arrival date. We encourage all guests to take up the Cancellation insurance offered at the time of placing your booking. 

Overview of booking periods:
Christmas/ New Year, Australia Day, Southern 80, Riverboats Music Festival, Victorian Labour Day, Easter, Anzac Day, Queens birthday, Winter Blues Music Festival, AFL Grand Final, Melbourne Cup, minimum nights stay applies

September 1st to May 31st yearly (excluding any peak periods), minimum night stays applies

June, July & August, excluding any peak periods, minimum nights stays may apply 

Each online OTA (online travel agent) booking website has its own cancellation/ terms and conditions. Please check these carefully. Better yet support Australian-owned and operated businesses by booking directly with us. 

Discount codes are not in conjunction with any other discounts, only available to cabin accommodation, not powered sites. The discount is capped to $50.00 off. Discount codes must be redeemed online only at www.murrayriverholidaypark.com.au and at checkout. Discount codes will not apply to any existing bookings. Discount codes can not be redeemed on the day of check-in. The time limit applies to all discount codes handed out. Discount codes will be made available on our Facebook page for guests to use. 

At Murray River Holiday Park the safety of our employees and guests is the utmost priority. During this time, we ask that all guests coming to visit and stay in our holiday park apply a serious degree of responsibility and honesty to ensure we do our best in preventing the spread of the Coronavirus. 

All of our team have completed the Infection Control Training in COVID-19 and we reflect all cleaning standards set out by Government. 

  • We ask if you have symptoms of the Coronavirus or have been in close contact with anyone in the past 14 days who has/ or many have COVID-19 please contact Murray River Holiday Park via phone/email ASAP to discuss your booking. 

You will not be able to enter the Park without checking in via the COVID-19 QR code.
Murray River Holiday Park is following the NSW Government CovidSAFE guidelines as follows:

  • Social Distancing measures of 1.5m 
  • A limited number of guests applies to the amenities block, BBQ area, and pool area, please adhere to the signs at the entry points
  • Safe Hygiene Practices – Hand sanitising station at the entry point of the reception, BBQ area, Amenities & laundry facilities. Hand soap stations available in the amenities and camp kitchen.
  • Murray River Holiday Park is a registered COVID SAFE business

Any guests with outstanding credit are valid for 3 months only for existing cancelled bookings. Credit can not be applied/ used as a "deposit" to create a new booking past 3 months and can not be applied during a peak period.
